We have to depend on the alternative power like solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy and geothermal energy in order to secure our basic needs. The alternative source of energy is also called renewable source of energy. Now we can see how solar power helps to satisfy our needs. The generation of electricity from sun rays is called solar power. This can be done directly with the principle of photovoltaic. The principle focuses the energy of sun to boil water which is used to produce power. Comparing to other alternative power, solar power is used mostly for residential purposes. It is free from intoxicants and green house gases. Wind energy is also considered as another form of alternative power. It is known for oldest and cleanest source of energy. The energy obtained from the wind is called wind energy. Here the wind turbines are used to produce large amount of energy. The place where we mount wind turbines can also used for other purposes like farming, grazing etc. The petals of turbines are rotated and thus the energy is produced. The other forms of energy are hydro electric power, nuclear energy and bio fuels. Bio fuels are any fuels which are produced from plants and animals. These also include wood, wood carvings, wood chippings and animal excrement.

The most effective renewable energy resource available from nature to mankind is the solar power or solar energy. The ray emitting from sun is captured by the modern panels called the solar panels and are then converted or transformed into heat and electrical energy. This is the energy source available in plenty in the universe which can be absorbed with the help of proper technological designing which the science has devised in this modern age. Sunlight that falls on the panels called the solar panels will get absorbed by the panels. These panels are then used to generate electrical energy or power. This power or energy derived from the sunlight is called the solar power. Solar power is the unlimited resource that can be used to meet the energy requirement or the need of the world. Most of the industries make use of this special energy source in order to meet their energy requirement as well as the residential owners try to make use of this power or energy for their home or household purposes. The heat and light energy emitted from sun forms the basic source for this power generation and this solar power is considered to be the best alternative power source. There are also some other alternative power sources like the wind power, and the green energy which also support the humanity to meet their energy requirement.
Half Of Morocco Will Be Solar-Powered By 2020 [Solar Power]

The ‘Mother Nature’ is there to bless us with all her goodness, and now it is up to us to accept the blessings. One of such blessings is solar power.

Now is the time for conservation and saving. We have to save on all fronts. Saving money, resources, and energy has become more vital than any other time. We have to conserve energy and stop adversely affecting our nature and eco-system. One can write volumes on how to do the same. More important is that everyone contributes to this ever so important cause.

Hydro-electricity, fossil fuels, and nuclear energy are main sources of energy for mankind. All three sources have their own bad side effects in form of pollution. The hazards of these energies are vividly noticed and people are looking for alternative power sources. Wind power, bio-fuels, hydrogen cells and solar power are best sources of green power. For common person, solar power is most easy to tap.

Solar power can be harnessed with use of photo-voltaic cells to produce electricity or by using solar panels to heat water. Solar power is very clean, abundant and very economical too. The usefulness of solar power is felt strongly when you are away from civilization, so far away that you can not hook up to existing power distribution grid, like when you are in ‘Your remote Cabin’.

Solar power can be trapped very easily and that too without spending lots of money, if you take proper guidance and expert’s advice. Though, there are thousands of sites on internet which claim to give you proper direction and technical support, it is important to follow correct and authentic source of information. ‘SQUIDOO’, is one of such most accepted and trusted source. There is lens published on SQUIDOO, titled ‘Solar Power for Your Remote Cabin’. A complete, exhaustive and technically correct lens, gives you ‘4 Steps to Build an Off-The-Grid Solar Powered Cabin’. For this, first you must determine all your energy needs, major appliances like fridge, your water system and most importantly cost of the project. The lens has also given most convincing and easy to understand, ‘7 reasons to invest in solar power’.

The lens leads you to website titled ‘www.earth4energy.com’. The site shows way to build your own solar power generation system in most economical way. On this site, one can read testimonials and reviews from many happy users of the system. One can take all the benefits of the sites and life time savings on power bills by just one time investment of $49.97. Hard to believe, but it is true. As I said in the beginning, the blessings are there for us to accept and reap its benefits.

The solar power is considered to be the best product that is obtained from the rays emitted from Sun called Sunlight (Sunlight is the rays emitted from sun that stays miles and miles away from the earth, being the basic as well as the center part of the Universe, around which the planets travel as per our scientific research information) without any harm or disastrous outcome for the human life, existing in this world. Solar power is the power extracted from the rays being emitted from sun during a day time and also forms the best source of electricity required for any household utilization, industrial utilization and so on. Best alternative power supply using the emission of the sun light or rays from the sun, induces the increased generation of power or energy, by a transformation which we explain light energy to electric energy. For this purpose of transformation of the light energy to electric energy is done with the help of the Solar panels. There are other types of naturally occurring energy resources that mankind can make use of such as the wind power, green energy categorized as the alternative power resources.

One of the reasons that solar power has not made much dent in the market of conventional power manufacturers is the prohibitive cost. Solar cells require meticulous soldering and solar panels have to be installed correctly. Because this requires some skill, time, and labor, the costs shoot up.
However, it is not very difficult to make a solar cell at home. Basically, any solar cell is actually a systematic mesh of metal conductors on solar panel. In fact many such cells make one solar panel. This mesh is loaded on two compounds of silicon, i.e., one with boron, and other with phosphorus, positioned one over the other. Below these silicon compounds is the metal layer. When sun’s rays fall on the intersections of this cell’s mesh, they excite the electrons, which in turn cause negative charge movement. These electrons that have been excited by photons in sunlight prompt negative charge to move in silicon with phosphorus, creating what is known as electricity. Many such solar cells are interlinked to form a larger solar panel, which is then installed at a place where adequate sunlight falls on each and every cell on the panel. In order to prevent dust and other things disturbing the process, the semiconductor network on solar panel is laminated or covered with glass. This ensures that these panels last really long.
A properly built solar cell and solar panel can create enough energy to run many of the usual home appliances, effectively saving many dollars on power bills. A do it yourself solar panel is much cheaper than what is available in the market, and it may turn out to be more efficient as well, depending upon how meticulously it has been soldered, linked, and installed.

Deciding to donate your hair can actually be a tough decision. After all, it takes years to grow hair to the length required in order for you to donate. Most charities suggest you donate at least 8 to 12 inches of hair and when you realize that hair takes about 30 days to grow only one half of an inch, that’s a lot of hair gone in just seconds!
However this is about more than hair, as you have already realized. Your hair will go to people young and old who don’t have the luxury of their own and to many, the difference between the look of a real head of hair and the stigma of a synthetic wig can be devastating.
When choosing the charity that you would like to donate to, make sure you understand who exactly that particular charity aims to help. Is it women and children? Pantene Beautiful Lengths donates to adult women who have lost their hair due to cancer. Are you looking to donate your hair to children? ‘Wigs for Kids’ is an excellent charity choice as they donate wigs to children suffering from a variety of medical conditions that cause hair loss. Many times these details will matter to you and are worth finding out when deciding on where your hair will end up.
Once you have decided on your charity it is time to grow your hair out to the appropriate length taking great care to keep it healthy. Once you have achieved the desired length it is time to cut! You can either do this yourself of have a professional do it for you. Make sure you follow the instructions outlined by your chosen charity as if they aren’t followed correctly, you may have just chopped off your beautiful hair in vain.

The UAE's fifth green building has been certified as US LEED platinum while 450 buildings are currently waiting to be certified in Abu Dhabi and Dubai as building codes for both emirates are being drawn up.

Mario Seneviratne, World Green Buildings Council secretary congratulated Ali Bin Towaih, executive director of Enpark and Director of the Sustainable Energy and Environment Division (Seed) at Tecom Investments on the completion of the UAE's fifth green building, the Tecom Investment Offices, during a Solar Days conference on Monday in Knowledge Village.

The building has been certified with the highest rating from the US LEED system. Buildings can seek certification from any ratings body said Seneviratne, a Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) faculty member and director of Green Technologies.

Property developers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are currently drawing up building regulations for green buildings upon which rating systems can be developed from, he said.

"The amount of CO2 released in the next century will be exponential," said Seneviratne, and buildings are still responsible for emitting the most emissions due to their high resource content.

Green buildings prioritise energy efficiency, sustainable materials, health and wellbeing and water efficiency.

Currently the UAE produces just two per cent of its energy from renewable sources and this is predicted to rise to seven per cent in 2020, based on Enpark and Masdar initiatives, compared to European renewable energy targets of 20 per cent by 2020, he said. More regulations will help the growth of renewable energy in the UAE, he added.

The Emirates Green Building Council previously worked with the US Green Buildings Council to put together a new version of the US LEED rating system that will include regional credits and can be applicable to any country.
